Need proplus.msi file to install features in Excel and Access

Carol

I get the message that I need to find the proplus.msi
file which is not on my computer. I have Windows XP home
edition 2002 which came preinstalled on my PC. I have no
CDs for the Office applications. What should I do?

Go to the pirate source from which you obtained Office XP Professional with
FrontPage. It is an enterprise edition that was widely pirated. You are
one of them.

Well, I have a LEGAL COPY I BOUGHT FROM MICROSOFT AND IT AIN'T ON THERE
EITHER, AND NO ONE WILL TELL ME WHERE TO GET A COPY OF THE PROPLUS.MSI FILE.

So what do I do? I have the CD, serial number starting KHQ29-D9RHH.

It would be so much better if someone would post without fear that Microsoft
would bankrupt them.

Oh, and if I read the original post, the person said it was "pre-installed".
Maybe they bought the PC with the apps on it, and they were not pirated as
you suggested. Or are you suggesting that they find pirated software and not
bother with a legal copy?

I'm having the same problem since trying to update to Service Pack 3. All
other office programs work except excel. It wants me to install the xp prof
w/frontpage before finishing update. I have no idea what frontpage has to do
with excel or why it's asking me for a disk I no longer have. Now I can't
open my excel files. I guess it's forcing me to purchase a new version in
order to access my files.

Download and install SP3 directly. Download the "Full File" titled:
OfficeXpSp3-kb832671-fulefile-enu.exe (58925 KB).

Office XP Service Pack 3 (SP3)

That didn't work either. I'm having the same problem. Even tried a proplus
reg fix I saw in another post.

I was having a similar problem with Excel, I found your post and downloaded
the update. After installing, I got a message that the update had already
been applied.
But to my surprise I now have access to Excel.
Thank you for your help. Carol
