I need help in a major way. Here's the problem: my dad installed Microsoft
Office 2000 Professional on my computer about 2 or 3 years ago and he no
longer has the disk. My problem is that I installed Office 2003 on my
computer recently and it doesn't run right because the Installer always pops
up and asks for the Office 2000 disk (which I don't have) and because of
this, I can't open files that I need for school online, and certain programs
don't run correctly because when the Installer pops up, I hit cancel and
whatever I was trying to do cancels out and won't run. My dad said something
about uninstalling both programs, but I can't uninstall 2000 because it asks
for the disk. Then he said something about deleting the registry values, and
I have NO CLUE where to even begin for that task, let alone how I need to do
it. Please, someone help me. I need to be able to run 2003 successfully for
class this semester, and it's becoming a royal headache.
