Nested Contacts Folders

I am trying to move a contacts subfolder into the parent contacts folder so I
just have one. However, it doesn;t let me. I can try to copy, move or even
select all the address and then copy into the parent but no success.
I have office 2000 on XP pro.

Works just fine here.
Clarify what you're doing and what happens. You've provided no information
other than "it doesn't work."
I use Edit > Select All > Edit > Copy to Folder... with no problem.

Okay,

I have two contact folders one within the other. The parent has a couple of
addresses and the child has many. I just want to get those addresses into
the parent and then delete the child. However, when I do the select all edit
copy to folder they do not move. This is all on the exchange mailbox - no
personal folders involved.

Can't help then.
Works just fine in a PST.
Someone who uses Exchange will have to try it for you.
