New/existing Office Document Query

Hi,

I had Office XP installed, then installed Office 2003. I have just removed
Office 2003 and that went ok, but now the options to open an existing or new
office document do not appear when I select Start > All Programs.

Is there any way I can get those options back?

Has XP been re-installed after 2003 was removed?

XP was installed, then 2003 installed, now XP has been remvoed. 2003
remains.
