new Freeware Excel add-in for importing from ODBC data sources

Hi Everyone ! Happy Friday !

I just released a new version of SQL Excel - it is a freeware add-in
for excel (http://www.sqlexcel.net). There are several good
enhancements in this release (2 way query building and easier
connection setup) and I think it is great free tool. I think a lot of
people will find it very useful and a very good time saver, but please
take a look to see what you think..

If you go to the home page of the site, you will see on the right hand
side there is a few links to some demo videos where you can get an
idea of what it can be used for. At the moment the addin can only be
used for running SELECT statements (disabled the action queries -
CREATE, DELETE, UPDATE, INSERT..) but you can use it to run SP's..
Maybe these should be disabled too in the next release.

In any case, any feedback would be great. The add-in is a COM one so
it can run in Excel 2000 and more recent (2000, 2002/XP, 2003 and
2007). You need MDAC and MSXML parser on your machine for it to run
and you
need to have admin privideges to run the install package (this is
explained in more detail on the site).

It would be really great to get some feedback and suggestions for
improvements/changes.

Thanks very much for reading this and have a good one.
