new message pop up

outlook 2003, win xp home

how can i make the transparent popup, (which appears in
the bottom right of the screen when a new message is
reeceived)stay on for a little bit longer?

E-mail Options...-> button Desktop Alert Settings...

What you do is go to Tools/Options under E-mail click on E-mail options than click on Advance E-mail options than click on desk top alert settings.

You can extend the time there.
