New to Project setup need help with problem

Hello,
I have recently installed project server 2002.
I am using project 2002 and want to publish my task list
into project server.
I have configured the collaborate options in project and
when I try to publish my task list I get the following
error. Message Type "Publish New and changed Assignments"
ERROR "System Error (0x80004005) and only a partial list
is published to server. I am using SQL Server 2000
It is on the same box as project.

All help is greatly appreciated.
