newbie - Onenote for removal list?

Only this morning discovered OneNote. Can someone pls let me know if
it'll do this...
I'm arranging a house move and want to build an editable list of
"to-do" things. I'd like it to be hierachical and the hireachy to be
easily visible. Something like an Explorer display of folders and
files - only where the folder names themselves can hold lists of
things (if you see what I mean).
thanks

You could just use each section as a "folder" with each list being its own
page.

The section names will show on the left (if you expand that section -- click
the little > at the top) and within each section as you choose it the names
of each page will show. But only the pages of the active section will show.

Or you could make one big section and have main & sub-pages if you need to
see all the list-names at once.

Searching the online help for outline might give you some other ideas &
search-leads -- I don't know how outline would work & haven't tried it
(probably should, it would be useful.)

You can make bullet lists & use tags as well to distinguish items in a list
(something else I need to try out.)
There are templates online that you might find useful.

If you also want it "mobile" you can share it on the web; I do this with one
notebook I use for passing info back & forth with myself. Mobile version (I
have iPhone) doesn't have all the features of desktop but still handy.

Considering this is for a house-move, you might want to include pictures of
everything too, to go with that household inventory we're supposed to have
for insurance records. :)

I'm still learning as I go on what-all ON can do but so far I'm pretty
basic.
Just a lot of basic lists, printouts of stuff I want to file-for-reference,
notes & so on -- but not fancily arranged, just *there* in several
notebooks. I find I'm using it more & more as it's so handy & versatile.

Good luck with your move!
