newbie question

O

omg

I am a newbie with a few questions:

a) I have a 20 page document that every so often, I want to change a particular page's orientation to landscapw without affecting every page in the documnt. How do I do that. hen I changed page setup, they all changed to landscape - even when I tried setting continous sections

b) what is the concept behind Master pages versus templates.

Thanx in advance.

Robert you cannot have a mix of portrait and landscape orientation in
Publisher - any version.

What you can do is select all the items on the page, and group them and
rotate them 90°.

You may find it easier to make the landscape page in another instance of
Publisher and copy and past it to your working document.
There is no limit to the number of instances you can have open of Publisher.

As you did not say which version of Publisher you are using, a couple of
versions had issues with rotating objects. To overcome that issue, select
all objects on the page, go to menu Edit, select Copy, and then in your 20
page publication, select menu Edit then Paste Special then "Paste as
Picture", and then rotate it 90° to fit the portrait page.

A master page will appear on every page of your publication in the
background. A template will not (unless you have a template with a
masterpage applied to it).
