Hi,
Does anyone know of a way that I can setup a desktop shortcut that will open
up the newsreader without having to go through Outlook/view/go to/news ?

To create your own shortcut to OE, create a shortcut with one of the
following command lines:
"C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" /outnews
"C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" /newsonly
