Newsletter Question

Meg

Is there anyway that a Publisher Document, such as a
newsletter be converted to a Word document? I would like
to create a newsletter in publisher because there are
more templates than word (which has 3) but I have to be
able to email it out in a universal format (like word) so
everyone will be able to open it.

The best method is to convert the Publisher newsletter to PDF. You will
need the full version of Adobe Acrobat to create PDF files.

Many people do not have Word, everybody has Adobe Acrobat viewer.

|| Word is not a universal format. Period. Please remember this for

|| PDF is the closest we have to a universal file format at the moment.
|| See www.adobe.com, www.pdf995.com, and www.docu-track.com
|| Hope this helps

Wouldn't you consider *.mht to be more universal than *.pdf?

96% of the desktops have Internet Explorer 4.x and newer :) Surely that is
more than the number of Adobe Acrobat Reader users ;-)

Is there a Linux viewer for MHT files?
I'm willing to bet there is one for PDF
Plus, Acrobat Reader is a smaller download than IE if you don't have it.

MHT is good but few know about it.

I doubt there is a computer without a PDF viewer.

96% of desktops have IE on them already :)

Brian,

What kind of resolution and color depth do mht files arrive in? In seven
years, I've never received a single file in this format, but have
received several hundred pdf files. Plus, I have IE installed (I think!)
but avoid it like the plague. Netscape rocks and rolls, at least IMHO.

Screen resolution. Images are stored internally as PNGs, GIFs or JPGs.
