No access to my Office XP

I don't know what I did wrong, but now I can't get access to any Office XP
programs. It tells me that "Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. is not installed for
the current user". Then the silly thing wants me to re-install it again. I
know it's installed and I can look it up in my Program Files under Microsoft
Office XP. Since I'm the only one that uses this computer, this doesn't make
any sense to me. How can I regain my right to use these already installed
programs?

Have you *TRIED* re-installing?
