No body text in Frontpage but fine on web and in source files

I have been working in web design for 7 years and this has me completely
baffled.

I was working on getting an opencube menu bar on the site. Everything was
looking great and I started editing the regular pages. I don't know how, but
suddenly there was no body in any of my pages. I can still see the top and
bottom shared border, but there is no body.

When I open the htm files in notepad, all the text and images are there.
When I look at the online website, all the text and images are there.
But when I open up the local website OR the server's site IN frontpage,
again, no text or images.

I tried copying from the source code the body text and putting it into one
of the pages through frontpage. It showed up. I published that page and it
looked fine. Then I closed that page in frontpage, opened it again, and
AGAIN, it was completely blank.

I even tried shutting down the computer, shutting down frontpage, etc. but
it always comes back as blank. I don't want to muck around with it too much
for fear of losing the whole site!

Any suggestions would be wonderful! Thanks~

good thing the un/pw doesn't work or someone would probably trash your
site...or maybe they already did and that why it doesn't work.

NEVER post your user name and password!!! Someone could mess with your
site.

Hello,

Please post a *link* to the page in question, not to the whole website.

Sorry, I can't use that link. I strongly recommend that you change your
password. People can misuse the account without you knowing and this is a
*public* newsgroup.

yah, but to trust the entire world? not me.

anyway the entire div is missing:

<div align="center">
<table border="0" cellpadding="0" style="border-collapse: collapse"
width="800" bgcolor="#FFFFFF" id="table4">
<tr>
<td width="20">
<p>&nbsp;</td>
<td style="text-align: left" valign="top">
<h1>Home</h1>
<p>NEEDS WORK:</p>
<ul>
<li>quiz</li>
<li>pics from photographer</li>
</ul>
<p>Nan Kosydar Dreves, RDH, MBA of Professional Health Horizons
(PHH) has been a registered dental hygienist for over 20 years with
experience in private practice, administration, teaching, public
health and consulting. PHH is an educating and consulting company
specializing in occupational health, safety and compliance issues.
She is known for her comprehensive background, dynamic style and
practical application to compliance issues required for the dental
office.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</td>
<td style="text-align: left" valign="top">&nbsp;</td>
</tr>
</table>
</div>

from your online web. I just cut pasted it from View Source in Notepad and
pasted back where it belongs in FP or EW and works fine. Save, try a
Recalculate Hyperlinks on your local copy to test it.

| The us/pw do work and no one is trashing the site. I have to give these
out
| if I want help from this discussion group. I think it is fair to ask for
| discretion and honesty when passwords are given out.
|
| The problem exists solely in frontpage. Everywhere else shows all the
html
| source code working fine. Even if I open the local htm files (which are
the
| SAME files frontpage is using) with notepad, I can see all the body. I
just
| want to be able to see this stuff in frontpage.
|
| Feeling a bit desperate and I'd really appreciate constructive advice.
| Thanks~

This is not a closed mailing list. This is a Usenet newsgroup, and
available to anyone with a newsreader. News is not like mailing lists,
your article/message will be available for a very long time before it
ages off the local spool.

Furthermore, your message is now available through eternity (or internet
time anyway) archived through googlegroups, where anyone can find it.
And the corollary is that someone will be looking.
