No printer installed error message

I can print Word documents, but get printer not installed error message when
I try to print powerpoint slides.

Do you have a local printer installed, or is your only printer a network
printer? If you don't have a local printer installed, try adding one. (You
don't really need to have one there, you just have to have it defined in the
Printers list.)
