No sounds in 2008 for Mac

J

jerry

Although the mail sounds in Entourage are still working in 2004, sounds do not work in 2008. In preferences, no options available for other than default set, which evidently has no sounds since none is heard when clicking on speaker icon.

Help, please.

Thank you, Michel.

The URL you posted seems not to exist. When clicking produced the "not found on this server" message, I tried copy/paste and got the same result.

Evidently, I'm not the first to have the problem (thus the reference), so I'll await further instruction.

Found the site by trimming the URL after org/

Evidently, I'll have to wait until Microsoft gets around to dealing with it. At least I know now that it has nothing to do with my install.

Thanks again.

The link works in proper newsgroup clients, but I suppose the forum
interface through which you are accessing these newsgroups breaks it
somehow. Here's a TinyURL version of the link:

Try the above.

if there is a break in the line put the two pieces together.

Wow! This thread seems to have morphed to an issue of URLs and blogging skills. As a Mac user of some fifteen years, I'm feeling blown away. Perhaps I'm spending too much time keeping my golf handicap down instead of keeping up with the "kids."

So, what's the bottom line here? Wait for Microsoft to "get around to it"?

Thanks, guys.

Yes, you'll need to wait for a fix.

Yes, that "par for the course", for Microsoft. Waiting for the fix. ;-)
