Not exactly a graphic

I have been using and editing a web page that was created with Word
2002 for a couple of years. It contains "scrolling text" that is
changed from time to time. Last summer I loaded Office 2003 onto my
computer. I had also installed Windows SP2 to my XP Home version OS
last spring. Now as I go to change scrolling text before uploading
the latest version of the web page, it displays as a box with an "X"
in the center in "edit view" similar to images that won't display when
browsing the web. When I click the scrolling text icon on the "web
tools" tool bar, it displays a message saying the object is created
with "marquee" and that its location or shortcut has been changed or
delted. The strange thing about it is that I have edited the
scrolling text since loading XP2 and Office 2003. I did a reload on
Office 2003, asking for the "repair installation" option. Still no
Marquee. Could this be controlled by some obscure security setting
that was changed by a subsequent Windows auto-update process?

See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=886299 "'Application is not
available' error messages when you try to insert some Web Tools in Word
2002 and Word 2003". The marquee text function should have been
"broken" as soon as you installed Service Pack 2 for Windows XP.
Everyone with WinXP SP2 installed who tries to view your web page will
encounter the same difficulty you are. There is no workaround at this
time except to uninstall WinXP SP2, which is not recommended.
