Notes page view to word

Hi All

When I send my powerppoint slide in Notes Page View to word, the slide and notes text come through fine but not the object (graphic) that I had inserted into the notes section. Is there away to make the object come over with out having to go back cut and paste it into the word doc? Thank you, M.

Short Answer: None that I know of. I have looked for quite a while. The way
you are doing it is the only way I have ever found to do it. I haven't ever
even found a way to automate it, though maybe one of the VBA gurus has some
ideas there.....

Sorry for the bad news. Now, if it is an important feature to you, I suggest
you let Microsoft know. To quote John Langhans:
If you (or anyone else reading this message) have suggestions for how to
make this easier to do in PowerPoint, don't forget to send your feedback
(in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

It's VERY important that, for EACH wish, you describe in detail, WHY it is
important TO YOU that your product suggestion be implemented. A good wish
submission includes WHAT scenario, work-flow, or end-result is blocked by
not having a specific feature, HOW MUCH time and effort ($$$) is spent
working around a specific limitation of the current product, etc. Remember
that Microsoft receives THOUSANDS of product suggestions every day and we
read each one but, in any given product development cycle, there are ONLY
sufficient resources to address the ones that are MOST IMPORTANT to our
customers so take the extra time to state your case as CLEARLY and
COMPLETELY as possible so that we can FEEL YOUR PAIN.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).

(Nope, I don't think you mis-understood. What she wants is a fairly common
thing for training materials and certain other types of presentation. Just
never been able to find a solution.)

You are good! I am a course developer developing training materials and want single slide with notes underneath to include the graphic. when it gets sent to word. I will let folks at Microsoft know, as I know this is a fairly common thing within the training community. In the mean time, I hope one of the VBA guru's has a solution.

Thanks again
M.

Hi Steve -

You are right. I'm using Powerpoint 2002 with word 2000. Is there anyway to get the objects to come over? Thank you. M

Hey! I'm a married man! ;-)

acrobat distiller, I was able to print the notes page (i just tested with one slide). Now
when I got up to the pdf. doc and select export, I'm not what to choose (JPEG,PNG, TIFF) or
how to proceed. Am I proceeding right and if so what do I choose?

Dead on target. Good show!

I'd try PNG for starters.
Then insert the PNG files into Word.

Is there any difference between "Save As" PNG and "Export" PNG?

Thanks!

Good question, thanks! Yes there is.

In Acrobat, Export is a way of saving individual images out of the PDF
Save As saves each page as a single image

In this case, Save As would be the ticket.

Thanks! Now I understand why "Export" wasn't always working for me.

[TOP ISSUE - Are you having difficulty opening presentations in PPT 2003
that you just created in PPT 2003? -

Hello,

PowerPoint does not have the notion of either multiple notes pages per
slide or multiple slides per notes page. There are several workarounds
including using the Send to Word feature to take advantage of Word's
ability to automatically have text flow from one page to the next, or the
hidden slide method that others have suggested.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) feel strongly that PowerPoint
should provide a more flexible relationship (something than just
one-to-one) between slides and notes pages, don't forget to send your
feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:
