Notification of new email, but NO NEW email seen

W

wattsee

I have been experiencing this issue with several different
workstations in a few different organizations.

The user gets notification that new email has arrived (and
would you like to read it?), but when the user clicks ok,
there is no new email to be read.

When I comb through the inbox and folders, etc, there
really is nothing new to be seen.

Any one else experiencing this?

Any one else have an explaination for this??

Hi!

Some ideas:

1). Is it possible that message was moved to another folder by Rules
Wizard?
2). Try to turn off 3rd party add-ins and extensions in Outlook
3). Check Outlook 2003 junk mail filter settings (and check off
"Permanently delete..." ;-)
4). Maybe, the message was blocked/deleted by some spam filtering
software at client or server side?

I'm experiencing the same problem and have not found any solution.
