now that i have formatted the text to "proper" ...

is there a way to remove the cells that are still in all caps without losing
the "proper" column?

Hi,

2 ways.

1. Hide the column with the capitalised words in.

or

2. Copy the 'Proper' colmn and paste it back over itself using
Edit|Paste special
paste values
then delete the capitalised column

Yes.

Copy the the column with the PROPER formulas.

Edit>Paste Special(in place)>Values>OK>Esc.

Now delete the original column.
