Null Value in Project (Task) View

I am trying to build views and want to exclude Summary Tasks that do not have
a resource assigned to them. When I try to filter out “NULLâ€, “NAâ€,
“Unassignedâ€, or “4294967296†(We found this somewhere on the internet -
project creates this numerical value for blanks) I am still unable to filter
out the blanks. Any ideas?? I found a work around; using the logic Resource
Names begins with _ (the underscore character (_) to represent any single
character). I still am curious, in case we ever want to filter for that
blank value.

Theresa,

You should never assign resources to summary tasks as this will lead to all
sorts of problems when entering time and reporting task progress.

I cannot stress this enough.
