numbering equations in word 07

Hi,
I have word 07 and im still trying to get used to it. I am creating a
document with lots of equations and need a way to number each one. i have
tried both the word equation editor and mathtype (on word 03 mathtype had an
icon to do this which is not available on word 07 as far as i can tell.) I
would like to be able to have a number in line with the equation.
Any help will be gratefully appreciated.

We have an article on our web site that explains how to use
MathType 5 with Office 2007:

We will shortly release MathType 6 that will be fully compatible
with Office 2007, including a MathType tab on the Ribbon in both
Word and PowerPoint.
