Hi,
I have a project written with Word2000, I need to have
different numbering for the first and the second part,
like i,ii,... for the begining and then start 1, 2,....
I couldnt figure out how to do that.
Thanks for any help.

Place your cursor where you want to change the numbering, click the "Format"
menu, select "Bullets and Numbering", change the style you want and/or
whether to "continue from previous" or "Restart Numbering". You can also
click "Customize" to change what number it starts on, the font, etc.

I think Rob is probably talking about page numbering - this is normal
requirement for front matter in a formal document. For full instructions see

http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/Formatting/NumberingFrontMatter.htm

But in any event, Bill's suggestion is not the ideal way of changing
paragraph numbering - certainly not to be recommended for any document that
'has a life' in terms of needing to be opened/edited again after a once-off
'type and print' on a single machine by a single user.
