ok but if i have to link back to the page that the first hyperlink is on, the
animation will start all over. so... is there a macro that can change the
font color of the text to dim so it wont "reset" itself when i link back to
the slide?

It shouldn't start over when you link back to a slide. Animations only
start over when you move forward to a slide from within the presentation.

If you are using GotoSlide, then the second parameter controls whether the
animations reset. I believe that False for that parameter will not reset
the animations.

This example switches from the current slide to the slide three in slide
show window one. If you switch back to the current slide during the slide
show, its animation will pick up where it left off.
