Some Guy
I have upgraded 3 laptops to Windows 2000 from Windows 98.
Office 2000 was already on them. After the upgrade,
everything runs fine from the Administrator account. When
another user is created & logs in (either Power User or
Administrator), I get the following message:"Microsoft
Office. This application must be installed to run. Please
run Setup from the location where you originally installed
the application."
When I try to re-install office on the user account I get
the following error: "The patch package could not be
opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you
can access it." etc
Ran a virus scan.
I tried Run: <path>\setup.exe /fv Data1.msi as per KB
article 236597, didn't help.
I have also attempted the following:
As Administrator: run a repair, uninstalled & reinstalled.
Also uninstalled & then tried to reinstall from the user's
account.
Thank you in advance for any help.
