Office 2000 fails after Office 2003 removal

I work with Windows XP Home Edition and a Pentium IV computer. Ihad an Office 2003 trial version installed. I removed it andreinstalled Office 2000 Professional. Now I can not open any ofthe components of Office 2000. I have reinstalled and repairedthe Office 2000 Professsional. What must I do to have Office2000 Professional work again?
