office 2000 failure to install in win xp

Upgraded OS to XP. I get a"install terminated
prematurely......" Office 2000 worked fine with
98ME.Other times I get an error message (1305)
Any suggestions???

There is no particular reason why you would be getting the error. I looked
up few from the Microsoft website and got few KB article. Please take a
look at it.
I am sure that there is no particular problem with installing Office 2000
in Windows XP.
