Office 2000 not installed for all users

administrator it does not appear for other users. Is there
a way to force an all user install?

Yes it is. You need to create suitable mst file using Office Custom
Installation Wizard (freely available from MS) an apply this transform
onto your install (yes my english is terrible). In that case other
users do not need the administrative permissions to run office 2000.

them in Active directory GPO
I have a MST that sets the advertise to all users, plus I set it in the
initialization file.

When a domain administrator initially installs it (from the add remove
software menu), it does not advertise to any other users on the PC. Each
user has to re-run the install at which point it runs a mini-install and
then works for that user.

To get around it, I have to install it, then do it again for a new user,
then copy that new user profile to the default user profile, at which point
everyone now gets access to it.

It is not supposed to work that way.

I just ran into the same problem - OfficeXP, dual boot system, Win2K on C:,
WinXP on D:, logged in as domain admin to WinXP - will not install for all
users - I have installed this a hundred times, never ran into this - only
difference is the dual boot - I have not tried installing on the Win2K
install yet.
