office 2000 premium

My previous OS98 only had word on it when I purchased office 2000 premium. Now I have a new computer with XP that came with word - but it will not let me install office 2000 premium. It is an upgrade version - what do I need to purchase to be able to use office 2000? Thanks.

The reason being that yr upgrade version of Office cannot find any
qualifying apps.
The Word, 'new version', that you have was produced after the Office2k
upgrade version, therefore it cannot detect it or detects a version that
cannot be upgraded.
You either need to purchase an Office2K qualifying product or the latest
upgrade version of Office.
Depends how much money you wish to spend.
NB upgrade versions require that you *keep* any qualifying version cd's
