office 2000 publisher

When using publisher, my XP OS asks for the second disc in order to load
publisher before I can use it. Can it be loaded once and not have to use the
disc every time I use publisher?

Thanks John...tried it but it didn't fix it...I have Office Pro vice
standard...the support memo notes it is for Pub standard.

What does the message say when you try to open Publisher? Do you have any earlier
versions of Office on your computer?

Yes...all updates confirmed...also ran repair on both discs. Now getting
error 1706 and notice that hard disc (80g) may be full. Have 76% left on
defrag...the fix may not be worth the bother? Unless I wear out the disc
loading it (lol)!

Did that...no change...still getting same results...have to use the disc 2 to
get Publisher to run...error 1706 on cancel...have tried all possible
solutions in these threads...time for large hammer?
