Office 2000 Send to mail recipient as attachment

In office 2000 using Word and Excel, I am having trouble using this option.
We use an exchange server, and whenever I try to send it brings up a setup
wizard for other types of email. This just happened one day, and I can't
seem to get it to work again. Any ideas?
