Office 2000, Small Business Edition

I want to create an Address & Phone Number list. The Outlook 2000
(9.0.0.2711), Internet Mail Only software came loaded on the computer and the
computer store went out of business. (Got a few 100 entries now). Will
Microsoft Outlook 2000 allow me to make a back up copy of My Contacts, or can
I migrate them to Microsoft Office 2003 (I need Front Page anyways).

I've got the Disk for Microsoft 2000 "Small Busniness." Do I want to use
this program and will it be maintained by Microsoft and/or last for 3 more
years (I went to help button, and was unable to load this because I got an
error message, while attempting a "Repair" under the Help tab, a Window
stating "DATA1.MS1" in a folder from which you are installing is missing.

Yes you can export your address book.
Front Page 2003 is stand alone product, you have to buy it.

Sorry, dunno. But, I had problem with it before when trying to update Office
2000 service pack, even though it was on the CD...eventually I gave up.

From http://support.microsoft.com/lifecycle/?LN=en-us&x=14&y=9

Extended support includes:

a.. Paid support
b.. Security update support at no additional cost
c.. Non-security related hotfix support requires a separate Extended
Hotfix Support contract to be purchased. Per-fix fees also apply.
d.. Microsoft will not accept requests for warranty support, design
changes, or new features during the Extended support phase.
e.. Extended support is not available for Consumer, Hardware, Multimedia,
and Business Solutions.
The OP is out of luck on this one.

Thank you for both of your responses, and I have determined it is time to do
what you did...I'll plan to purchase Office 2003.

R

Rob Giordano \(Crash\)

Don't throw the CD out though!...you can use it as a qualifying product and
just buy upgrade version of Office 2003.
