Office 2000 SP3 Admin Share

Keith

I have created an admin share, installed SR1a and then SP3. Each individual
program shows that they are at SP3, however the admin share (install) still
shows SR1. When I do a workstation install from the admin share, the same
thing occurs. When I do a update check, it shows that SP3 is still needed.
Anyone have any idea how to correct this?

Keith,

I have the same issue - I have an admin share that has had sp3a and all
post-sp3 updates applied, and Office Update and MBSA 1.2.1 tell me that SP3
needs to be applied to the Admin Installation Point. My CDs are SR1; I had
to install the SR1a patch before I could install SP3.

MBSA shows: The following updates are confirmed as missing but need to be
installed on the administrative installation point by a system administrator.
See KB 832665 for more information. "Office 2000 Service Pack 3 - English
Version"

Office Update shows: You need the administrative version of this update due
to previously installed administrative updates.

The Office Update Inventory Tool 2.1 seems to show that "Office 2000 Service
Pack 3 - English Version" is installed...

Let me know if you find a cure for the disparity.

Thanks,
Jim
