Office 2000 takes 7 minutes to load, fix?

I have home edition xp. Loaded my Office 2000 and when i open up document it
takes several minutes and all other applications freeze until document
finally loads.

You need to visit the Office Update web site and download
all the updates available for Office 2000, beginning with
Service Pack 3 for Office 2000.

I have made all downloads and rebooted and it still doesnt work. Any other
fixes?

If you're using Symantec/Norton AntiVirus, try disabling the
Office Plugin that comes with it. See
