Office 2000 tries to install even though it is installed

I have had Office 2000 installed for a couple of years
now.
I'm running Windows XP Home Ed.
All of the sudden when I open a document, a dialog box
reads something like:
"Please wait while Microsoft Office 2000 Pro. prepares
your system for installation."
It also happens when I start Outlook. (Have not opened the
other office programs yet)

I have no idea why this started except that I customized
my menus and toolbars in Word. I also changed the
"Normal" template in Word.

Does anyone know which commands that were added in Word
would prompt for installation CD?
