Office 2000 Update

Office update tells me I have to install "office service
release 1a" But when I try to install, it is looking for
the data1.msi file from office premium not office
professional which is what I have. How can the update
engine point me to the wrong file? Any thoughts on finding
the right one?

Thanks

Susan-

I am also having that issue of being prompted to insert
the Office Premium cd when installing SR 1a. I do not have
premium, just pro. I tried inserting my Frontpage 2000 cd
and it still wouldn't work. When I go into Add/Remove
Programs, and try to uninstall Office Premium, it also
asks for the Premium cd. Any other ideas?

Thanks,
Aaron

Hi, Brian S,

The Windows Installer believes that Office Premium is
installed. Do you have other Office 2000 family products
installed, such as Publisher, Project or FrontPage?
If so, insert the CD from one of those when prompted.

You can also check the Windows Control Panel "Add /
Remove Programs" applet to see what's listed as being
installed. Uninstall anything you no longer need.
