Office 2003 Activation

If I uninstall an Office product that has only one license from one machine
and install it on a different machine, will I be able to activate it over the
Internet or will I have to call Microsoft and explain to them what I am doing
to get it activated on the new machine? Thanks!

Normally if you activated it ones, it is enough, but if you really want it,
you can call microsoft. When you activate microsoft, you send your MAC
address (ID of pc) to Microsoft, so when you intall it on a other one and you
register it, it looks again after the same MAC on their network.

You can install office many times on different pc's or laptops an even
update it from Microsoft office update center, with the latest patches en
service packs, but you will need the same setup CD.

If more than 120 days since first activation, expect the internet activation
to work. Did for me. Else, you need to use the phone option.

Hi Brian,

The only Office 2003 copies limited to a single
machine are the OEM editions (shipped with new PCs).
The OEM editions are not transferable generally once
they've been activated.
