2 times this has happened to me.
I've got Office XP on Windows 2000 Professional. I load
Office 2003 Professional and use the Upgrade option.
Once completed (and there are no errors during
installation), my file associations are completely hosed.
Office works and I can open files by doing a File -> Open,
but if I just double-click a filename, it will not open.
I know how to fix file associations manually, but this is
not going to be an option if I'm to deploy Office 2003 in
any large-scale way. Has anyone else had this problem,
and, if so, have you found a solution that keeps this from
happening?
Thanks!
Chris
