Office 2003 missing icons

Greetings,

How can I repair my missing icons under Office 2003 (XP SP2)? I have tried
to repair office 2003 automatically (from the help menu Detect and Repair)
but it does not work. I can't even uninstall Office 2003, getting always
the error message from Windows installer that it can't be uninstalled
(missing .msi). How can I fix it ? I have tried with the original CD to
point to the proper .msi file with no luck. I got the same error message.
How can I fix these damn office 2003 icons ?
