Office 2003 Pro Install Hangs

I am trying to upgrade our office 2000 install to office 2003 (just the Word,
Excel and Powerpoint). The install has removed much of the 2000 install but
now is hanging up "Waiting for cabinets to be cached to a local installation
source."

It's been sitting in this state for over 20 minutes. Nothing moves it beyond
this status.

Please help...as now I have no Excel or Word!!

I have the exact same problem although im installing office 2003 over office
97. When the installation process goes to CC561401.cab the installation
seems to freeze with the "Waiting for cabinets to be cached to a local
installation
source" next to the current action. Was a solution ever found to this
problem?
