I was able to install this from the FULL download but it took a bunch of
doing.... after several failures to install from the update site I tried the
download, it also failed. Here's how I got it to work:
I looked in C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log and found the failure to install was
identified with error code 0x80070643 so that's the first thing to check.
A Google search brought me to http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=836937
The first fix, renaming the Edb.log file worked but I had to reboot into Safe
Mode to rename it. Then I rebooted into normal mode and the update installed
with no problems.
Hope this will help, if not there are several other things to
try mentioned in that KB article.
