Office 2003 Uninstall from PC and install on Laptop

My question is a bit complicated: I Installed English version Office 2003 Pro
in my PC and in my laptop without problems. Now I purchased a used laptopt
that has Office XP 2002 in Portuguese which I have been using extensively. I
want to get rid of my PC but uninstall from it the English version of Office
so I can install it on my new/used laptop. How do I keep all office 2002
files, including PST files, to work with the newly installed 2003? If I
uninstall Office 2002 do I lose all my files? All my program CDs are
originals and did not come with the PC or laptops.

if you uninstall Office 2002, it will leave the pst and all document files
behind untouched, so no need to worry about that.

To add, the pst file will be used in the 'old' format within OL2003.
Once it is opened, within OL, you might be advised to create a new unicode
format pst and *copy* data from old pst to new.
Then set new as the default, and close old (if required)

Thanks Gyorgy. That answers part of my question. The other parts are:
language compatibility (Portuguese/English programs) and any license problem
with Microsoft?

Thanks DL. I figured that it would not be a clear cut change. That helps.
Read my answer to Gyorgy too and try to help.
