office 2003 word will not read any docs word 2000 ?

I just purchase a new pc with windows xp and office 2003 sbe when I try to
read my old documents writen in word 2000 using word 2003 it says the file is
currpt and can not be read I try the same file on two system with word 2003
same problem but it read the doc on several pc with word 2000 no problem .

Alsom you can try opening the document on the original machine, saving it
under a different name as RTF and trying to open that in Word 2003.

Make a copy of the Word 2000 file, and then try using the Open
and Repair option in Word 2003 to open the copy. You don't see
an Open and Repair option in Word 2003? In Word 2003, click on
File | Open, click on the little black downward-pointing triangle
at the right end of the Open button, and click on Open and Repair.
