office 2003

I had motherboard replaced by local shop. Win XP Prof installed and Office
suite 2003. All Office applications OK except when I try to open Outlook.
A box comes up saying it can not access Exchange Server. Box Named
Configuring Outlook come up with message "configuring Outlook" After about
45 seconds another box comes up with following message: "The connection to
MS Exchange Server is unavailable. Outlook must be online to complete this
operation". When I close the box I get another box with title Microsoft
Exchange Server under general tab (only 1 tab) the words Microsoft Exchange
Server below is a box what appears to be a log in ID that I might use there
follows the words Mailbox and a box with my name in it. I do not know where
this come from.

Is the Office Suite a special software to work with the Exchange Server? Is
it something about the way Office Suite was installed? My system is a home
system so I don't want anything to do with an exchange server. I do not want
to uninstall and reinstall Office if I can help it. Any help would be
appreciated.

Outlook needs to be configured to work with your ISPs e-mail system.
Check the home page of your ISP or with your companies technical
support for help in how to do the configuration. They should know the
name of the Exchange server and the other settings necessary to make
things work.

Good luck
