but what use is the public beta if no one is able to use it! I'm only hoping
that for any of us who run out of uses of the suite, activating it will let
us use it again!

I'm unable to activate my copy of Office 2007 Beta 2 either. I have contacted
Technical Support and Product Activation Support only to be thrown about -
seems their front-line staff have completely no idea.

My friends in Microsoft said that they could activate it when they received
the same release 1 week ago - looks like it's possibly overwhelmed by the
traffic they got. Just have to wait for now I guess. Can anyone post a reply
when you manage to activate this product?

Wilson Loo

Here,one is
"The Activation Wizard is unable to find a connection to the Internet. Please
make sure your connection is work properly and retry the activation in a few
minutes."

I just start wondering that maybe it's Taiwan user's own problem,
Well, now it looks like everybody gets the same situation...
I reinstall office2007 beta five times and still gets the same replay
Close the firewall didn't help, use proxy didn't help
So maybe it's MS's server problem?
I hope I can stick before they solve it...

Oh guess what guys? You wanna know which features get disabled after the
grace uses expire?

The most important ones i.e. the ability to save and make new documents!

Well I must say, this really IS turning out to be a usefuly beta
indeed...now where did I put Office 2003...

This really sucks... I'm here in USA and still doesn't activate. I am
baffled. I am a student so my chances of office lasting a month would be in
days...

Yep, I've been having the activation problem since about 2pm, May 23. I've
checked my ipconfiguration many times, checked the dns server to see if it's
active, uncheck all firewalls, deactivated anything I thought would be
blocking me and the microsoft server. Repaired the install, and so on. I'm
starting to think that it's not comming from the userside end, and maybe just
a server overload again. I'm glad to see that i'm not the only one having
this problem, although I wished that none of us did either. Lol. Hopefully
this gets fixed soon before my umn 38 usage left. (X_X)

The download page clearly states it has an expiration date. You don't get to
keep a "free version" of Office
