Office 97

Bart

I have upgraded to a new computer with windows XP. When I
try to load my Office 97 upgrade I get a message that it
can find a compatable program even though Works 7.0 (one
of the riquired programs listed on the box)is loaded on
the computer.

Is Office 97 compatable with windows XP or am I doing
something wrong?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi Bart,

Unfortunately MS Works v7 is newer than Office 97 so it's
not recognized by the Office setup program. When the listing
was written for 'any version' of the upgrade qualifiers,
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=158069

it was usually referring to 'that existed when this list was written'
