Office assistant missing.

Kaedo

Since installing Microsoft Outlook 2003 on my Windows XP Pro machine I get an
error message saying that I need to install the office assistant again by
repairing office. I have done this several times and tried a remove and
reinstall. Neither has helped. Can anyone give me a fix for this please.

The assistant still works in Outlook 2003 though!

I am getting the same problems. We setup the assistants, they appear to work
fine but when Word is restarted the unable to load the assistant message is
displayed. We have repaired/reinstalled/updated with no improvements.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Denis.

To replicate the problem:

- Close all word and Outlook windows.
- Open Outlook 2003
- In Outlook 2003, activate the Office assistant
- Open Word 2000
- Close Word 2000
- Open Word 2000

However, if you close Outlook and then open word. Open Outlook again, the
problem will not appear.

Does anybody has found a solution for that problem?

Thanks!
Simon

the office assistants to unavailable in office setup and then reinstalling
them...
