MS WORD 2003: Office Assistent:
Can someone explain, why the very first answer to the task
"remove page break" is "insert a manual page break" ?

Is the word "insert" synonymum to word "remove" ?
;-)

TIA

The order of hits in Help search results has been the subject of
considerable complaint (notably from me), and I certainly take your point.
In this case, however, it might be argued that a knowledge of how manual
page breaks are inserted is required in order to understand how to remove
them. It is not possible to "remove" page breaks *unless* they are manual
ones.

The first answer I get is "Troubleshoot page breaks and section breaks"
which contains the information you require.
Insert is not a synonym for remove. It is the opposite. Word help gives near
misses when the exact phrase searched is not available. Here it has dug out
just about all there is to do with page breaks.

Hi Suzanne and Graham,

we say :"You have catched me while stealing apples".
My message applied to the Office XP EN, while the
info at the beginning points to the Office 2003 EN.
You have done, Suzanne a great job by persuading MS
to correct the order, and you, Graham have done a great
job by testing and proving that my statement is not correct.
.... my apologies :)

One more reason for upgrading to the Office 2003 :)

Regards,
Milos
