Word, Excel & Powerpnt.exe are randomly generating the following error: (e.g.)
Word.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need
to restart the program. An error log is being created
This seems to be happening mostly in Excel.exe, but can happen with other
office applications. It has happened to this particular user randomly over
the last 4yrs, and has been cured for a while by giving the user a new
machine, but ultimately the fault always re-occurs! The office suite is
fully patched.
Somebody has suggested that it may be caused by a profile issue, this seems
a possibility given that it happens to the same user on different machines,
however, we do not use roaming profiles.
Anybody out there got any ideas? It has happened on a small number of other
machines too.
