office outlook 2003 email account setup

I tried to use my email account on outlook 2003 but it
wouldn't send the test email. I have all the current
updates but my ISP says I need an update b/c of a bug
that won't let me add my email address. What do I do?

What error message do you get when testing account settings? Please post
the exact message.

I am afraid your ISP may be pulling your leg as Outlook 2003 works out of
the box without any updates.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
