Office pro 2000

Microsoft 2000 Professional will not let me uninstall it. It keeps giveing me
an insufficent access error 1402.Also it gives me a hard time getting into
any office applications. It also give me that same error. When I finally get
into them after repeated error messages, It say there is not office
characters present and there is an error that it could not spell check.
Please help me I am a Nursing student and I need my office!

Without knowing what version of Windows you're running or anything else...
You may be running Windows as a "limited user" and you may have to try
running as an "administrator" or "power user" (look for a User entry in the
Control Panel to investigate). You should at least be able to uninstall
Office and then reinstall it that way. You may have to run it that way on a
permanent basis, but hopefully not. Make sure to go to office.microsoft.com
and root around for the Office Update and do that while you have the disk in
the drive.

I am running Windows ME I could not find a user entry where else could I look?
